Attention, Medical Insurance Billers & Coders!  After you finish your classes, it’s a really good idea to get certified.  Why?  Because it assures potential employers that you can code correctly and efficiently interact with insurance companies. 

Check the EXAM SCHEDULE first – please note, examination dates will not appear online after the four-week registration deadline.

Steps to follow:

1. To take the exam, you must be a member of the AAPC. Membership rates are $70 for students, and $120 for regular members. Become a member while you are a student to save $50.

2. Pay the exam fee ($260 for students and $300 for regular members).

3. Complete the APPLICATION AND EXAMINATION AGREEMENT FORMS.

4. Send the documents and payment to the national office via mail, fax, or email AT LEAST FOUR WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EXAMINATION DATE to:
